[2014-10-01]   Undergraduate Researchers

    In fall 2014, we have 5 new undergraudate researchers joined our lab: Mr. Matthew Spinelli, Mr. Mitchell Skinner, Mr. Ajay Larkin, Mr. Justin Chu and Ms. Hannah Yang. Ajay is co-advised by Dr. Chris Makaroff whereas Justine by Dr. Haifei Shi. Meanwhile, undergraduate researchers Abraham Jon Moller, Alexandere Tessier and Mitchell Graham continue doing bioinformatics research under Dr. Liang's supervision.

[2014-09-15]   PhD Oral Defense

    Praveen Kumar Raj Kumar successuflly passed his PhD oral defense. Joined Liang lab in 2008, Praveen Kumar has finished both M.Sc. and Ph.D degrees at Mimai University. Now, he is a post-doc in School of Medicine, University of Pittsburgh.

[2014-07-05]   Visiting Scholars

    Five visiting scholars: Mr. Min Dong, Mr. Lei Li, Mr. Congting Ye, Mr. Xi Li and Mrs. Rui Mao have finished their 1-year or 2-year stay in Liang Lab and gong back to China. During their stay, they actively participated in bioinformatics research under Dr. Liang's supervision. They have co-authored 4 publications and 5 manuscripts under review.

[2014-04-21]   Goldwater Scholarship

    Mr. Abraham Jon Moller, an undergraduate researcher working in our lab, is awarded with the Goldwater Scholarship, the most prestigous national award for undergraduate STEM students. Currently, Jon is a junior at Miami University, with a double major in microbiology and biochemistry. He has been working in our lab since December 2013. Click here for more information

[2014-01-01]   Bioinformatics Publication

    Mr. Sutharzan Sreeskandarajan, a PhD graudate student working in our lab, is the first author of a publication in bioinformatics. This paper is Sutharzan's MS thesis. Sutharzan joined Liang lab in 2011 and obtained his M.Sc. degree in fall 2013.

[2013-04-08]   Goldwater Scholarship

    Mr. Jamie Morton, an undergraduate researcher working in our lab, is awarded with the Goldwater Scholarship. As one of 271 students nationwide to receive the scholarship, Jamie currently is a junior at Miami University, with a quadruple major in computer science, mathematics and statistics, electrical engineering and physics. He has been working in our lab since January 2012. Click here for more information
